NAS-Pensacola Firearm Policy

Naval Air Station Pensacola maintains a strict no-weapons policy for visitors. Firearms, knives, and other weapons are prohibited on the installation, including for individuals who hold a valid Florida Concealed Weapon License or permit. Visitors found in possession of a prohibited weapon may be denied entry or subject to enforcement action. All vehicles and personnel entering the installation are subject to security screening and searches.

For military personnel, civilian employees, and others authorized to possess privately owned firearms on base, additional Department of Defense and Navy regulations apply. Privately owned firearms generally must be registered, stored, transported, and used in accordance with installation policies, and carrying a personal firearm for self-defense on the installation is not permitted unless specifically authorized under applicable DoD and Navy regulations.

In short:

• Visitors may not bring firearms or knives onto NAS Pensacola, even with a concealed carry permit.
• Security personnel may inspect vehicles and conduct background checks.
• Authorized personnel must comply with separate military regulations governing privately owned firearms.
